Black Bear Academy is a center for learning that provides education and support to children of all ages and their families in the Chicago area. We offer a wide range of academic and therapeutic programming that reflects our commitment to meet the needs of children at all skill levels as they learn, grow, and develop.

From Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8, students dive into deep, relevant, and multidisciplinary learning that sparks their curiosity and excitement. Our students don't just learn content. They learn how to think critically and deeply. 

At Chicago Waldorf School, our Early Childhood program (ages 3–6) nurtures curiosity, imagination, and independence through child-led play, storytelling, hands-on activities, and meaningful relationships in a screen-free environment. A consistent daily rhythm and developmentally appropriate experiences build the social, emotional, and foundational academic skills children need to thrive in first grade and beyond.

Concordia Place on Ravenswood is a nurturing community serving children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. For nearly 10 years, we have been supporting families and children, preparing them to explore, to connect, and to thrive through engaging educational experiences. 

Our full-day German Immersion Schule with play- and project-based learning blends free play, structured modules, and science, reading, math, music, arts, and crafts—all guided by children’s curiosity and ideas. School highlights are frequent playground visits, neighborhood walks, monthly field trips, and movement and music woven into everyday learning. 

KC's Academy of Early Childhood Education was established in 2005 as a preschool and Kindergarten program. Since then, we have expanded our school to include infant and Toddler programs. Our school is dedicated to providing high quality education, focusing on building a strong developmental and education foundation. We do this by providing individual education planning, which is design on the knowledge of setting individual goals and objectives based on developmental readiness rather than chronological age.
